Bit of Sunshine!

So...there is this adorable little miss in the 4th grade. Everytime she sees me at school, she stops to wave at me and smile her amazing smile. She is such a little sunshine and I just want to put it in my pocket! Thanks, Mere for being the light in many of my days!

1st Graders!

O my goodness! I love 1st graders so, so much! Today they were most certainly the light in a very dark day! And for very good reasons.... 2 reasons to be exact. Reason one: A very sweet 1st grade girl told me that I was the "best teacher of all." What? really? Hmmmm. That's ok. I will definitely take the compliment, as I really needed that today! So, thank you Alia. You were most certainly the light in my day today! And the 2nd reason.....is quite funny. 1st grade again. We were talking about the difference between fiction and non-fiction. I read a book to them that explains the difference. Then I asked "What is fiction?" One little boy responded, "it's when you have to fix something that someone else breaks." Love. It. Tons of light just in that one class!!! Thank you 1st graders for being the light in my world!

Been awhile!

ok....so this summer has been long and hard but then my only granddaughter, Nona, came to stay with me for two weeks just before school started. Being that I am, for the most part, alone all the time and spending a ton of time driving to Provo and Spanish Fork,....this was so awesome! We are so much alike in the things that we like. She loves to watch movies- I love to watch movies! She loves Sonny With a Chance- I love Sonny With a Chance! She loves to shop for clothes- I love to shop for clothes. You get the picture!! We were driving to Provo to hang out with Alyssa and we got talking about books (another love that we share). She was telling me that she really doesn't need pictures in her books anymore. She loves chapter books. Then she said, "I just think people need to use their imaginators to help them not to have pictures." Boy, I was laughing inside! How true is that?! People...use your IMAGINATORS!!!! Thanks Nona for being the light in my summer!
(oh yeah....and, Nona..."check it out"! ha!)
